In a world where we constantly switch between phones, tablets, and laptops, moving data across platforms shouldn't require sending yourself emails, relying on USB cables, or uploading private files to third-party cloud servers.
We leverage modern WebRTC technology to establish direct peer-to-peer (P2P) connections between your devices. This means that when you use Textunnel, your data travels directly from device A to device B over your local network. It never touches our servers, ensuring lightning-fast transfer speeds and uncompromised privacy.
We believe that your data is yours alone. That's why Textunnel does not require any account registration or login. We do not store your files, and every transfer is end-to-end encrypted by default. Once your browser tab is closed, the connection is destroyed permanently.
Textunnel is maintained by a small group of independent developers who are passionate about open web technologies and digital privacy. We grew frustrated with the limitations of ecosystem-locked tools (like AirDrop) and the privacy concerns of cloud storage, so we built the tool we wanted to use ourselves.
